Swivel (23) accomplishes two functions. Swivel (23) supplies pump oil from the upper structure to the travel motors of the lower structure. The upper structure swings. The lower structure does not swing. Swivel (23) returns oil from the swing motors and travel motors to the hydraulic tank.
Housing (4) is bolted to the upper structure by support. Rotor (9) is bolted to the lower structure through flange (14). The ports of housing (4) are open to the ports of rotor (9). The passages in housing (4) and the passages in rotor (9) connect the ports.
Seals (7) for high pressure and seal (8) for low pressure are provided between the sliding surfaces of housing (4) and rotor (9). Seals (7) and (8) prevent oil leakage between the passages.
