(1) Torque of locknut with lubricant on threads … 3600 ± 190 N·m (2660 ± 140 lb ft)
(2) Before you install the seal assembly, fill the clearances with grease in order to remove the air.
(3) Install the seal ring with the groove toward the piston.
(4) Diameter of new rod … 74.93 ± 0.03 mm (2.9500 ± 0.0012 inch)
(5) Bore of new cylinder … 110.08 ± 0.03 mm (4.334 ± 0.001 inch)
(6) Cylinder head
- Bore of new cylinder head … 75.63 ± .03 mm (2.977 ± 0.001 inch)
- Torque for cylinder head … 850 ± 90 N·m (620 ± 65 lb ft)
(7) Drill a hole 4.5 mm (0.177 inch) in diameter to the depth of dimension (D). Backup ring (7) fits in the hole. Dimension (D) … 23.0 ± 0.5 mm (0.91 ± 0.02 inch)
Apply 8T-9016 Gasket Sealant in the hole for the backup ring.
(8) Lubricate the sealing lip slightly with the lubricant that is being sealed before installation.
(9) Apply 7M-7456 Bearing Mount Compound to the wiper seal groove before installing.
