320C and 322C Excavators Attachment Hydraulic System – Solenoid Valves

Solenoid Valves (One-Way Flow)

Illustration 1 g00777012

Solenoid valves for one-way flow (electronic check valves)

There are two one-way solenoid valves. Both solenoids receive power simultaneously from the rocker switch for one pump flow and two pump flow. This switch is located on the console. When this switch is in the position for one-way flow, these solenoids are energized and hydraulic flow travels in one direction only. This solenoid is only present on machines that are equipped with System 2 and system 11.

Solenoid for two-way flow and solenoids for one pump/two pump flow

There is one solenoid valve for two-way flow. This solenoid receives power directly from the rocker switch for one-way/two-way flow. This switch is located on the console. When this switch is in the position for two-way flow, the solenoid valve for two-way flow is energized and the solenoid valves for one-way flow are de-energized. Hydraulic flow is allowed to travel in two directions. This solenoid controls pilot oil flow. This solenoid is only present on machines that are equipped with System 2 and System 11.

There are two solenoid valves for one pump/two pump flow. Both solenoids receive power simultaneously from the rocker switch for one pump/two pump flow. This switch is located on the console. When this switch is in the position for two pumps, these solenoids are energized and hydraulic flow is supplied by two pumps. When this switch is not pressed, only one pump supplies flow. These solenoids are only present on machines that are equipped with System 2 and system 11.

Solenoid Valve (Proportional Reducing)

Illustration 4 g00777019

The solenoid valve (proportional reducing) is controlled directly by the Engine and Hydraulic Pump Controller. The solenoid connects to CONN171-8. When the Controller determines the requirements for hydraulic flow, the controller sends varying signals to this solenoid.
