1. Swap rollers if percent worn of most
worn exceeds percent worn of least
worn by more than 1.3:1 ratio.
2. Swap rollers when the average percent
worn is close to 50 percent (or 60 per-
cent if target is destruction).
3. Swap most worn with least worn of
same flange type; swap second most
worn with second least worn of same
flange type, etc.
4. Take advantage of both track and/or
roller swaps from left to right side of
machine to further balance total system.
The same principle can be applied to
machines with four carrier rollers or
four idlers to balance their fore and aft,
or left and right wear rates.
