Final Drive Oil Sample - Obtain
1. Position the fin
al drive oil level mark at a horizontal
position in order to check the oil level, as shown.
2. Remove the oil
filler plug in order to check the oil
level.
3. The oil shoul
d be level with the bottom of the plug
threads.
4. Clean the pl
ug and install the plug. Tighten
the oil fillerplugtoatorqueof285±30N·m
(210±20lbft).
5. Repeat the procedure for the other final drive.

Remove the oil filler plug for the final drive. Obtain
asampleofthefinal drive oil by pulling a sample
through the filler plug opening.
When the oil sample is completed, clean the plug and
install the plug. Tighten the oil filler plug to a torque of
285 ± 30 N·m (210 ± 20 lb ft).

Analysis” for information that pertains to obtaining

block to the top.
