2. Operate the engine fuel priming pump (1)
manually. Depress the priming pump and repress
the priming pump until firm pressure is fe lt.
3. The engine fuel system should now be primed and
the engine should now be able to start.
NOTICE
Do not crank the engine continuously for more than
30 seconds. Allow the starting motor to cool for two
minutes before cranking the engine again.
4. Start the engine.
5. After the engine has started, run the engine at the
LOW IDLE position until the engine runs smoothly.

tions and warnings on the cleaner s olvent contain-
er before using.
Personal injury or death can result from a fire.
Fuel leaked or spilled onto hot surfaces or electri-
cal components can ca use a fire.
Clean up all leaked or spilled fuel. Do not smoke
while working on the fuel system.
Turn the disconnect switch OFF or disconnect the
battery when changing fuel filters.
NOTICE
Do not fill f
uel filters with fuel before installing them.
Contaminated fuel will cause accelerated wear to fuel
system parts.

Note: Do not fill fuel fi lters before installation in any
circumstance. Do not open high pressure fuel lines in
order to bleed air from the fuel system.
1. The secondary fuel filter is located on the front of
the engine on the left side. Open the left engine
access door.
