Bulldozer Power Angling Tilt Hinge Pins - Lubricate

1. Start the engine (1).
2. Raise all attachments (2).
3. Fully depress decel/brake pedal (5).
4. Release parking brake switch (3).
5. While decel/brake pedal (5) is fully depressed,
move the steering and transmission control (6) to
the FORWARD position.
6. Gradually increase the engine speed (4) to full
load speed. The machine should not move.
7. Move the steering and transmission control (6) to
the NEUTRAL position.
8. Reduce the engine speed (4) to LOW IDLE.
Engage the parking brake (3). Lower all
attachments (2) to the ground. Apply a slight down
pressure. Stop the engine (1).
9. Make any necessary repairs before you operate
the machine.
NOTICE
If the machine moved while testing the brakes, contact
your Caterpillar dealer. Have the dealer inspect and,
if necessary, repair the service brake before returning
the machine to operation.

Apply lubricant to the grease fitting for the head end
of the tilt cylinder (1).
Apply lubricant to the grease fitting for the rod end of
the tilt cylinder (2).
Apply lubricant to the grease fitting for the rod end of
the angle cylinder (3). Repeat for the left and right
side angle cylinders.
Apply lubricant to the grease fitting for the head end
of the angle cylinder (4). Repeat for the left and right
side angle cylinders.
Apply lubricant to the grease fi tting for the pivot pin
on the main C-frame (5). Repeat for the left and right
side angle cylinders.
Apply lubricant to the grease fitting for the rod end of
the lift cylinder (6). Repeat for the left and right side
lift cylinders.
Apply lubricant to the grease fitting for the head end
of the lift cylinder (7). Repeat for the left and right
side lift cylinders.
Apply lubricant to the grease fittings for the pitch link
(8, 9).
