Turn the engine start switch to the ON position in
order to perform the test.
Apply the decel/brake pedal. Disengage the parking
brake switch. Move the transmission control lever to
the REVERSE position.
The backup alarm should sound immediately. The
alarm alerts the people behind the machine that the
machine is backing up. The backup alarm should
continue to sound until the transmission control
lever is moved to the NEUTRAL position or to the
FORWARD position.
