Operation Section
Engine Starting (Alternate Methods)
Note: This mach
ine is equipped with two batteries.
Only the battery terminals inside the right access door
should be used in order to jump start the machine.
8. Connect the positive jump start cable to the
positive terminal of the electrical source.
9. Connect one end of the negative jump start cable
to the negative terminal of the electrical source.
10. Make the final connection. Connect the negative
cable to the frame of the stalled machine. Make
this connec
tion away from the battery, away from
the fuel, away from the hydraulic lines, and away
from all moving parts.
11. Start the engine of the machine that is the
electrical source. (If you are using an auxiliary
power sour
ce, energize the charging system on
the auxiliary power source.)
12. Allow the
electrical source to charge the batteries
for two m inutes.
